My Dad's Birthday

Life is different without my Dad. I miss him a lot, so his birthday was a particularly hard day, not only for myself, but my sisters as well. I wanted to do something special, to try to celebrate, rather than mourn. I shared an idea I was doing with my sisters and we decided that we would all participate. Afterwards, my very talented sister, Carrie made it into a video for him. I wanted to share. We each wrote a special message on a balloon for Dad and sent them up to heaven, for him, on his birthday. I think I might do this every year! I loved hearing those sweet little voices saying "Happy Birthday, Grandpa!"

Writer's Tea

Garett's Class had a writer's workshop this year and at the end of the year, they invited their parents to a "writer's Tea" where they shared what they had written over the year.
After they each read some of their work they had cookies and lemonade. It was really fun for them to share their hard work. Great job, Garett!

My Sweet Baby James is 2!!!!

How can that smile not just make you happy? We have been blessed with this amazing little guy for the past two years and cannot wait to see what he will do next! We love him sooooooo much! He brings so much love and light into our family and home! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JAMES!!!

They joined our little pet family in April. They are red-eared slider turtles and are only about 1-2" long.
