Garett David Pitcher

This is my little Garett the day he was born. He is so perfect. It seems like just yesterday. It's so hard to believe that my baby boy is five. (If he heard me say "baby boy" he would be very upset!) Five seems so much bigger than four. I wish I could turn back the clocks and slow things down. I am sooooo not ready for kindergarten! I am pretty sure that half day was designed for moms.
Anyway, What an amazing little person he is! It has gone by so quickly... I have been so blessed to have the privelege to not only have such an incredible little spirit in my family, but to be his Mom. What an amazing and exciting journey it has been so far. Garett has such a great personality- he's so sweet and loving, happy and fun, yet so very independent. He loves to be a big brother and enjoys "reading" to and snuggling his little sister.
With Garett, every day is an adventure! He has become quite the teaser and loves to tease anyone and everyone who will (or won't) participate. His Daddy is his favorite person and he loves him more than anything. He will follow Daddy around no matter where he is going or what he is doing.
He has to be busy doing something all the time... He hates to be bored. Here he is at five...still incredibly handsome and having a blast! We sure love this little guy! I don't think I realized loving someone so much was possible until I had kids of my own. Happy 5th Birthday, Garett!!! We love you so much!

A Valentine Family Home Evening

We had home evening on Monday with a Valentine theme. You will have to forgive me for letting this drag on, but it was really fun! The kids loved it! First, we made heart shaped pizzas.

Then, we played some games while it baked. The first game was pin the arrow on the heart.

The next game was "who loves you?" There were paper hearts hidden around the house. Some of them had names of people who loved them written on them, and Some were blank. The kids raced around finding them and if they didn't have a name on them, they had to think of someone else who loves them. They loved it!

Then, dinner was ready...by candlelight, which the kiddos also loved! Notice Liberty trying to blow out the candles!

Then to the last game, which was especially fun! "It's raining love" was a game where lots of little paper hearts were put in the middle of a blanket and tossed into the air. Then everyone raced to see who could collect the most of them!

There wasn't any formal lesson, but it sure was fun!

New Friends

Meet our new little friends...Optimus Prime and Megatron. Can you guess who named them?

Fishin' with Daddy

We took a little trip to Riverwalk for some very kid friendly fishing and a picnic. Fun!
