Sugar Pine Railroad

Garett helped plan a little trip for us this past weekend. We went camping up near Yosemite and rode the old steam engine train. It was great! It rained all night, but wasn't cold at all, so it was actually kind of fun! Here are the kids when they woke up in the middle of the night and realized it was raining. They didn't mind at all! Daddy had to go outside and add a tarp to the top of the tent.Here are Garett & Liberty inside an old sequoia tree.This is a giant pipe under the rode for the river to run through.A silly girl and....A tired boy.Take a look at this giant tree! The hike... it turns out that Liberty loves camping and hiking even more than Garett. The train... it's an old logging train. Very cool! ALL ABOARD!!!! Tickets please...

Before we started for home, we got a treat. Garett chose this giant jawbreaker.

For those of you who don't know, Garett learned how to climb and repel

when we went to Pismo this past spring. He decided to try it at home. Not too bad!

And....He's learned a new trick!

MoNsTEr MiNi GoLF

Have you ever heard of Monster Mini Golf? I hadn't until a couple weeks ago. It was really fun! We were looking for something to do with Daddy before he left for a business trip. This is what we found, right here in Bakersfield. (We never even knew it was there) Everything was decorated with a monster theme and lit by black light so it was all bright neon colors. This monster behind us woke up when you came near him. He would stand up and grumble at you about bothering him. He was my favorite! (Liberty was a little scared of him) They also have video games and prize/ticket games. Good times had by all!

Independence Day

We got to go to my favorite 4th of July destination this year....Jackson Hole!

I love it there this time of year. We went with some family and camped a couple of nights.

We had tons of fun at the parade in Jackson. Garett & Liberty loved every second of it!

After the parade we went swimming in a hot spring pool near camp and then we headed back to town for the awesome fireworks show.

They were so good I kept thinking it was the finale...when it wasn't!

Cousin Fun in Utah

We got to spend some time with lots of cousins who we don't get to see enough. We did some fireworks at Uncle Clayton's house and we went to the airforce museum with Aunt Nyree's family! Thanks for playing with us!

Liberty thought the fireworks were too loud! Everyone loves sparklers! Here's James getting some good "snugs" from his cousin Halli. So sweet!

Garett loves learning about stuff from his daddy. He really enjoyed the airplanes and learning what purpose each one served.
